So I’ve always loved gemstones. Ever since I was tiny, I’ve always picked them up everywhere I went and filled my pockets with gems. My Mum used to always tell me to empty my pockets when we were leaving anywhere the Beach, Bushwalk, Shopping Centre car park. I was always the kid digging in the garden. I’ve always had rocks and gemstones around me. I just never knew what to do with them. Then I was taken to the Crystal Castle for my birthday and absolutely loved the place with all the massive gemstones. I found a gemstone necklace made of fluorite that I loved and was so drawn to, I couldn’t leave it. I just kept going back to it several times that day. So I ended up leaving with the fluorite necklace as a gift. I use to always wear it everywhere and I didn’t take it off. It was always my necklace that I wore for several years.
I had been to one of the gem shows earlier that year. And had bought a cutter that was in pieces. So I had to revamp it and put a new blade on it and then I started cutting stones in half and I had several buckets of stones cut in half. Then after I looked at my necklace. I knew that the pieces had been cut into slabs, so then I started cutting the half stones into slabs. And then my son and his grandfather bought me a tumbler for my Christmas present and then that’s where the jewellery came from and my business was made I had taught myself how to make the beautiful gemstones from chunks of stone into jewellery.
A while later my fluorite necklace broke and I knew it had done so much for me. I still have the 2 pieces but can’t wear it anymore so now I wear my 2 pieces of jewellery I made. Australian Jade and my Carnelian
if a gemstone breaks it’s done what it can for u and if u loose one it’s gone to someone that needed it.
